Aimee's Story
My work is dedicated to helping individuals heal trauma and find safety within their bodies. My journey as a professional dancer, yoga teacher, and structural integration bodyworker, complemented by art-making and vinpasana meditation practice, has profoundly influenced my approach. No two sessions are ever the same. As you can see on my site, I have many tools in my toolkit that I draw from, with Somatic Experiencing® being my overall lens.

Here is a timeline of current influences...

2024 I became certified in Zero Balancing®. It has brought a depth to my somatic touch work that I am very grateful for.
2021 I became certified in TRE -Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises® and SoulCollage®. Two modalities that add more safe and fun ways to work with trauma in the body.
2012 I completed my Somatic Experiencing® training gaining invaluable insights that allow me to work authentically and from a place of deep wisdom. Since then, I have pursued post-graduate SE trainings with a focus on SE Touch, enhancing my skills further. I actively assisted the past 10 years SE trainings and currently mentor students of Occupational Therapy and Somatic Experiencing® globally, fostering growth and understanding in this transformative field.

I received my Masters in Occupational Therapy from USC in 2006 and spent 12 years at NPI ULCA, where I developed a trauma-informed sensory program for the adult unit; a mindfulness-based program for the adult eating disorder unit and was a co-author on a research study on the benefits of gardening for the patients.

Currently, I see adults of all ages in my private practice in Santa Monica, CA as well as virtually.
